The Transporter star Jason Statham is rolled into the director Paul WAS Anderson remake of the classic Roger Corman on a hyper-violent cross-country race that breaks all the traditional rules of the road. The time is not so distant future, and as prisons overflowing americas begin with violent criminals, the powers that be grisly devise a game that will free up space in the cells and entertain the masses at the same time. Jensen Ames (Statham) is a three times champion Speedway with a dark past. A survival expert and ex-con whose sordid history back to haunt him when he is framed for a murder he did not commit, Ames is forced to choose between dressing metal mask of a mythical athlete known as Frankenstein or languishing far from Terminal Island -- Americas's most notorious prison. Over the next three days, this will not be champion get behind the wheel of a nightmare of machines equipped with machine guns, grenade launchers, flame throwers and in a desperate attempt to outrun some of the most violent criminals ever imprisoned.
