LAND OF NEW MOVIES

The sequel to the 2008 female buddy movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is an adaptation of Ann Brashares' novel Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of Sisterhood. Like the first installment, this image seriocomic explores the events taking place one summer in the lives of four friends separated temporarily as a very special pair of jeans works its way to a girl to the next. In a sub, Lena (Alexis Bledel) travels to Providence, RI, and enroll in a course of painting in another, Bridget (Blake Lively) embarks on an archaeological dig in Greece and one third, Carmen (America Ferrera) working in the backstage crew Vermont-based theatre festival, and the fourth, Tibby stays in New York and enroll in summer courses. Sanaa Hamri, best known for its Prince and Mariah Carey music videos, directs; Elizabeth Chandler, who co-script of the first film, adapts the Brashares book.
