Hei Tang Qun Xia Zhuan
Hey Girl (Actor) / Lollipop (Actor) / Chang Ko Fan / Chen Vicky

After starring in school drama Brown Sugar Macchiato, Taiwan idol groups Lollipop and Hey Girl collaborate again in the fusion idol drama Hei Tang Qun Xia Zhuan (a.k.a. The Legend of Brown Sugar Chivalries). This time each group has sent three members - Xiao Xun, Ya Tou, and Xiao Man from Hey Girl and Prince, Xiao Yu, and Awei from Lollipop - along with Ben (Teen Age) and Xiao Ma from Mo Fan Bang Bang Tang to lead the show. Other Hey Girl and Bang Bang Tang members like Mei Mei, Xiao Jie, Mao Di, Terry, and Monkey will also make appearances in the drama.
Hei Tang Qun Xia Zhuan takes martial arts heroics to the modern-day idol drama with hilarious spoofs, exciting action duels, romantic triangles, fantasy elements, and youth drama tropes. The character's names and kung fu moves are winkingly pulled from the martial arts novels of Jin Yong and Gu Long, and the series' mix of modern drama and fantasy action is inspired by films like Volcano High, Harry Potter, and Dragon Tiger Gate. The Lollipop and Hey Girl idols play young martial arts students who are caught in an epic battle of good versus evil. These dashing and at times bumbling swordsmen and heroines of the martial arts world are out to find two powerful kung fu tracts that are hidden in the four great martial arts schools. ~from yesasia~

New Breath Of Love

New Breath Of Love
Alex Fong (Actor) / Raymond Lam (Actor) / Chen Yi Rong (Actor) / Ady An (Actor)

One city, four people, countless possibilities...
Hong Kong stars Raymond Lam and Alex Fong Chung Sun team up with Taiwanese television starlets Tammy Chen and Ady An for the urban romance drama New Breath of Love. Based on the best-selling 61 x 57 by popular novelist Wang Wen Hua, this series explores the lives and romances of modern citypeople, with glittering Shanghai as backdrop. In addition to a candid and engaging story that viewers can easily identify with, New Breathe of Love is refreshing in its mixed casting of Hong Kong and Taiwanese stars. This is Raymond Lam's first non-TVB drama, and his character and relationship angle here is somewhat similar to that of the TVB's hit La Femme Desperado.
Quiet and a bit conservative, Jing Hui (Tammy Chen) is a 30-year-old banking professional who has always lived a stable, if mundane life. Everything gets thrown out of balance when she meets playboy advertising executive Kai (Raymond Lam), four years her junior. Responsible Jing Hui and rebellious Kai begin a relationship, both trying to make a change for the sake of love, but romance is hardly an easy thing for two people so different. Kai has a long history with free-spirited ex-girlfriend Ni Sha (Ady An), and Jing Hui cannot put up with his unfaithfulness. As one relationship ends, Jing Hui re-encounters ex-boyfriend Ming Zheng (Alex Fong). He still seems to be the perfect guy for her, only now he's married. ~from yesasia~

The Spirit Of The Sword
Nicholas Tse (Actor) / Gillian Chung (Actor) / Patrick Tam (Actor) / Annie Yi (Actor)

Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse continues his string of period action dramas with the exciting epic series The Spirit of the Sword. This is Tse's third starring role in a Gu Long adaptation, following Big Shot and Proud of Twins, and he is clearly in his element, handling both the action and drama with convince and charisma. Television fans may remember ATV's classic 1978 The Spirit of the Sword adaptation starring the late Leslie Cheung, but this new updated version is an equally worthwhile and star-studded affair. Other than Tse, the drama stars EEG labelmate Gillian Chung of Twins, as well as Hong Kong actor Patrick Tam (Born Wild) and Taiwanese singer/actress Annie Yi (Poor Prince).
This new version of The Spirit of the Sword departs from the original novel by revolving around Japanese swordsman Bai Yi Ren, offering a new perspective on the story. Tse stars as a young swordsman who travels to the Middle Kingdom in search of seven mythical swords to fulfill his father's dying wishes. Though he has no intentions of causing trouble, his quest unwittingly brings him into conflict with the martial arts world as he gets pulled into mysterious conspiracies and a dangerous clash with his stepbrother. ~from yesasia~
