Hong Kong stars Raymond Lam and Alex Fong Chung Sun team up with Taiwanese television starlets Tammy Chen and Ady An for the urban romance drama New Breath of Love. Based on the best-selling 61 x 57 by popular novelist Wang Wen Hua, this series explores the lives and romances of modern citypeople, with glittering Shanghai as backdrop. In addition to a candid and engaging story that viewers can easily identify with, New Breathe of Love is refreshing in its mixed casting of Hong Kong and Taiwanese stars. This is Raymond Lam's first non-TVB drama, and his character and relationship angle here is somewhat similar to that of the TVB's hit La Femme Desperado.
Quiet and a bit conservative, Jing Hui (Tammy Chen) is a 30-year-old banking professional who has always lived a stable, if mundane life. Everything gets thrown out of balance when she meets playboy advertising executive Kai (Raymond Lam), four years her junior. Responsible Jing Hui and rebellious Kai begin a relationship, both trying to make a change for the sake of love, but romance is hardly an easy thing for two people so different. Kai has a long history with free-spirited ex-girlfriend Ni Sha (Ady An), and Jing Hui cannot put up with his unfaithfulness. Apart more often than not, F4 members finally reunite on television in the new CTS drama Wish To See You Again. Teaming up for the first time since 2003's Love Storm, Vic Chou and Ken Chu share top billing in this highly anticipated romantic drama from the producer and director of Why Why Love, Corner with Love, and Devil Beside You. Bandmate Vanness Wu also takes a supporting role, along with idol drama favorite Kingone Wang (Devil Beside You). In order to focus on his writing, best-selling novelist Hsu Le (Vic Chou) moves into a five-star hotel owned by the family of his longtime friend Xiao Ma (Kingone Wang). As he agonizes over his writer's block, hotel employee Neng Xian (Michelle Chen), mistaking his odd actions for attempted suicide, storms into his room and chases his inspiration away. That's only the beginning of many chance encounters and relations that bring the odd couple closer to each other, step by step. Still searching for a story, Hsu Le decides to moonlight as a taxi driver and runs into high school pal A-Hao (Ken Chu), now a standoffish taxi driver. Angry about his past, A-Hao brushes off his former friends, but Hsu Le and Xiao Ma stubbornly pull him back into the circle.
