Written and produced by maverick arthouse director Kim Ki Duk, Beautiful paints the gripping psychological tale of a woman whose exceptional beauty makes her the object of unwanted lust and envy. In his feature-length debut, director Jeon Jae Hong (Mul Go Gi), who proudly carries the nickname "Little Kim Ki Duk", casts Cha Soo Yeon (For Eternal Hearts) as Eun Young, a tragic heroine who suffers a mental breakdown after being raped by her stalker, blaming her beauty to be the cause of all her misery. Exploring the extremities of sexual perversion and obsession in human behavior, director Jeon throws the audience into a furious whirlwind of psychological warfare while retaining much of the essence of what is widely known as Kim Ki Duk's signature style.
