Last Scandal
Choi Jin Sil / Jung Jun Ho / Kim Byung Sye / Jung Woong In

What if Cinderella was thirty-nine years old and divorced with a kid? Would Prince Charming still come and rescue her from her evil ex? A selfless frugal housewife dumped by her cheating gold-digger husband makes a dramatic turn in life when her knight in shining armor sweeps her off her feet and even lets her get her sweet revenge in MBC's hit drama Last Scandal. In what some critics label as the middle-aged version of Full House with more crackling humor and emotional depth, Last Scandal sees Korea's top actress Choi Jin Sil returning from her highly rated drama Bad Woman, Good Woman to play a gung-ho ajumma ("married woman") who lands a job as a house maid for a self-absorbed, egotistic actor played by Jung Jun Ho (Princess Lulu, My Boss, My Teacher), who was reportedly lured into the role by his co-star Choi. Offering an oasis of relief to middle-aged housewives who may be tired of living vicariously through superficial dramas that bear no resemblance to their own lives, Last Scandal is one memorable ride you will not forget.
Happily married 39-year-old housewife Sun Hee (Choi Jin Sil) gets the shock of her life when she is diagnosed with premature menopause. On the contraire, her first love Jae Bin (Jung Jun Ho) is now a popular actor, all smiles and basking in fame and fortune. The unlikely pair run into each other at Jae Bin's commercial shoot. Though twenty years have passed since their last encounter, Jae Bin is disappointed at the sight of his first love as a boorish-looking ajumma and turns a cold shoulder on her. But fate brings them together once again when Sun Hee becomes desperate for money to pay off her husband's debt. Having no one else to turn to, she resorts to her very last choice: Jae Bin. In a hilarious take reminiscent of Hollywood's Indecent Proposal, Sun Hee takes off her clothes in front of Jae Bin and offers him one night of sex in exchange for money. Just then, Jae Bin's manager Dong Hwa (Jung Woong In, Rude Women) walks in, and in an attempt to save his face, Jae Bin quickly introduces Sun Hee as his live-in domestic helper - and just like that, Sun Hee scores herself a job. But more trouble lurks around the corner and Sun Hee is soon dragged into a bigger mess. ~from yesasia~
